The true story of Ivar Kreuger, the enigmatic Swedish financier who built a global empire of match monopolies and high-stakes loans while cultivating influence through close relationships with celebrities like Greta Garbo and powerful politicians worldwide. Hit by the The Wall Street crash in 1929 and the ensuing Great Depression, his spectacular 1932 downfall exposed a web of deception and he was later found dead in what was ruled a suicide.
