1. Introduction
CineKrunch (“CineKrunch,” “we,” or “us”) is a website that provides access to movie, TV show, anime, and live TV information and viewing experiences through the services available on the platform. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use CineKrunch.
CineKrunch does not intentionally collect or maintain personal user accounts, and it does not store users’ Continue Watching history on CineKrunch’s servers. However, some features and services on the platform rely on third-party services that may process technical information in accordance with their own policies.
CineKrunch is built and maintained by a small team. Our goal is to make watching movies, TV shows, anime, and live TV as easy as possible - removing the traditional, time-consuming flow of having to download content before you can watch it. Instead, we aim to let you start watching directly, with less hassle.
By using CineKrunch, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Please also review the Terms of Use.
2. Information We Collect
CineKrunch does not require an account to use the platform and does not intentionally collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, physical address, password, or payment information as part of normal site usage. If you voluntarily contact us through our contact page, you may provide information such as your name and email address so that we can respond to your enquiry.
Information associated with your use of CineKrunch generally falls into three categories:
- Information stored locally on your device. Data such as your Continue Watching history and playback position is stored in your browser (see Section 3). It is not stored in a CineKrunch user database.
- Information you voluntarily provide. If you contact us, you may provide your name, email address, and a message so that we can respond to you (see Sections 2 and 11).
- Technical information processed by third-party services. Services such as analytics, movie/TV metadata, video providers, advertising, and hosting/security providers may process technical information such as IP address, device and browser information, requests, cookies, and usage information in accordance with their own policies (see Sections 4 through 8).
3. Information Stored on Your Device
Some features, such as Continue Watching, may store limited information in your browser so that the feature works - for example, the content you have started watching and your playback position. This information is stored locally on your own device and is not uploaded to CineKrunch’s servers as part of the Continue Watching feature.
Note that local storage is different from cookies. The Continue Watching feature uses browser local storage to remember your playback progress, and you can remove this information at any time by clearing your browser’s site data or local storage for the CineKrunch site, or by using any removal or clear functionality provided by CineKrunch where available.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to help us understand how the site is used, improve the platform, and implement new features. These services may process technical information such as your IP address, device and browser information, pages visited, referrer information, and usage events (for example, search activity). They may use cookies or similar technologies.
Google’s collection and use of information are governed by Google’s privacy policy, which you can review at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can also learn about Google Analytics and your options at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. CineKrunch does not itself store analytics data in a user-specific manner, and retention of analytics data is governed by the applicable provider’s policies.
5. TMDB and Movie/TV Metadata
CineKrunch uses The Movie Database (TMDB) to obtain and display certain movie and television metadata, such as titles, descriptions, posters and backdrop artwork, genres, cast information, release information, ratings, seasons and episodes, and related recommendations. TMDB is a third-party service, and information obtained from or provided through TMDB is subject to TMDB’s applicable terms and policies.
CineKrunch does not own TMDB’s metadata. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
6. Third-Party Video Providers
CineKrunch may use third-party video providers or embedded video services to provide video playback. When you interact with a third-party video player or service, that provider may independently process technical information, such as your IP address, browser or device information, requests, cookies, and usage information, depending on its implementation and policies. CineKrunch does not control the data practices of these third-party providers.
You should review the applicable third-party provider’s own privacy policy where appropriate. CineKrunch does not claim to store or control data collected directly by third-party video providers.
7. Advertising
We run advertisements on CineKrunch through third-party advertising providers and ad networks. The income from these ads helps cover our server and maintenance costs, which are quite low but still need to be supported.
Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies and may process information such as your IP address, device information, and browsing activity to serve and measure advertisements, which may include personalized or non-personalized advertising depending on the provider and your settings. For details about their practices and any controls they offer, please review the applicable advertising provider’s controls and privacy policy.
We do not promote betting, gambling, or adult content, and our own content is not aimed at such material. However, if an advertising provider displays an advertisement of that nature on the site, it is served by the third-party provider and is outside of our control. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
CineKrunch may use cookies or similar technologies, and third-party services used by the platform may also use them to function or to collect information as described in their own policies. They generally fall into the following categories:
- Essential/functional technologies. Used to support site functionality, such as local storage for the Continue Watching feature (playback position and history).
- Analytics technologies. Used by Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to measure how the site is used and improve it.
- Advertising technologies. Used by third-party advertising providers and ad networks to serve and measure advertisements, which may include personalized or non-personalized advertising depending on the provider and your settings.
You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Because third-party providers may use cookies or similar technologies, please review the privacy policies of those providers for details about their practices and any controls they offer.
9. How Information Is Used
Where information is processed in connection with CineKrunch, it is used to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the website - for example, providing features like Continue Watching, improving the platform, and implementing new features.
10. Data Sharing
CineKrunch does not sell personal information. Information may be processed or disclosed to third-party service providers where necessary to operate, secure, analyze, advertise on, or deliver the platform, or where required by applicable law. CineKrunch does not intentionally share your locally stored Continue Watching data with third parties.
11. Data Retention
Information stored locally on your device (such as Continue Watching data) remains in your browser until it is removed, overwritten, or cleared through your browser settings. For data processed by third-party services, retention is governed by the respective provider’s policies.
Information voluntarily submitted through our contact channels may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, maintain correspondence, address disputes, or comply with applicable legal obligations.
12. Legal Requests
CineKrunch may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, court orders, governmental requests, or to protect the rights, security, and integrity of CineKrunch, its users, or others.
13. Your Choices and Controls
You can clear Continue Watching data through your browser’s site data or local storage controls, or through any removal/clear functionality provided by CineKrunch. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and learn about Google’s analytics controls (linked in Section 4). For advertising and other third-party services, please use the controls and preferences offered by the applicable providers.
14. Third-Party Links
CineKrunch may contain links to, or content from, external websites and services. CineKrunch is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, content, or policies of third-party websites and services. You should review the privacy policies of any external services you interact with.
15. Children’s Privacy
CineKrunch is not specifically directed toward children. It does not require an account or the provision of personal information to use the platform, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not make broad claims about the age-suitability of specific content, and we do not enforce a general age restriction unless required by applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to CineKrunch, please contact us using the details in Section 17.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
CineKrunch may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
