Overview

A newsreel from the 1940s depicts a meeting of the young women of the "14th Promotion of Auxiliary and Volunteer Women of the Peruvian Red Cross" to discuss matters related to their work. These auxiliary and volunteer women serve in the institution's centers and hospitals in Lima, have accumulated 27,969 hours of training to date, and include among their ranks young women trained as civilian aviators and pilots for high-quality transport in the event of wars or public emergencies.
