Overview

The film was made for the opening of the Filmgalerie Hannover in May 1965. The Filmgalerie was run by Klaus Partzsch, Peter Grobe and the art gallery owner Dieter Brusberg. In polemic fashion, parodying the style of popular-scientific educational films, this film justifies the necessity for film galleries, which are meant to elevate film to a new level: that of art.
